We are delighted to introduce the latest addition to our dental team, Dr. Daniela Orellana, DDS, MS. Dr. Orellana has been an esteemed associate professor at the prestigious UCLA School of Dentistry since 2015, and we are thrilled she has joined our practice.
Dr. Orellana's journey as a dental professional began at Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello in Chile, where she earned her D.D.S. degree. She continued her education at the University of Michigan, where she achieved a Certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science. With her extensive training and expertise, Dr. Orellana specializes in all aspects of esthetic dentistry and advanced prosthodontics, including fixed, implant, and removable rehabilitation.
Notably, Dr. Orellana has significantly impacted UCLA over the past eight years. She has devoted herself to mentoring dental students and residents in prosthodontics, while also contributing to key committees involving curriculum development, patient care enhancement, student performance evaluation, and Faculty Practice oversight.
Dr. Orellana’s commitment to excellence has earned her numerous prestigious honors, including the UCLA Dr. Ted Berg Predoctoral Teaching Award in 2023 for her outstanding mentorship. Other accomplishments include induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the 2011 Dr. Billy Scholarship Award from the University of Michigan, and the 2008 Best Student Award from Universidad Andrés Bello. Apart from her passion for dentistry, Dr. Orellana enjoys spending her free time outdoors, engaging in activities such as hiking, road biking, traveling, and skiing. Most importantly, she cherishes precious moments with her family, which includes her two young kids: Isabela and Luca, husband Jay, and beloved dog James.
